Mahabharatham (Tamil: மகாபாரதம்) is a Tamil mythological soap opera that aired every Sunday on Vijay TV from 17 February 2013 to 29 May 2016 at 10:00AM IST for 166 episodes.[1][2] The saga starts from the Adhi Parwam of Mahabharatam.

The show starred Poovilangu Mohan, Saakshi Siva, Amit Bhargav, Neelima Rani, Ilavarasan, Nisha Krishnan and among others. It was produced by Cinevistaas Limited and director by C.V. Sasikumar, Raja and Suresh Krissna. The epic television series has more than 400 artists cast in various roles.[3] The show is extensively shot in and around Bangalore with studio sets which cost more than 1 crore rupees.[4][5]

Amit Bhargav is an Indian actor who has appeared in films and television shows in Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. He became popular for his role in the Kannada television series Seethe in which he played Lord Rama.[1] He was noted for his short role in Abhishek Verman's 2 States (2014). He has been starring in the Tamil television series Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai as the lead character Arjun since 2014 and later went on to perform supporting roles in other Tamil films, including Yennai Arindhaal (2015) and Miruthan (2016). He has also voiced for characters in both Kannada and Tamil productions.
